Movies and Series I like

In this post I’m going to talk about movies or series that I like, so, I’m going to start with movies. In the list of my favorites there’s always a Wes Anderson movie. I think that my top 3 are ‘’The Grans Budapest Hotel’’, ‘’Moonrise Kingdom’’ and ‘’ Fantastic Mr. Fox’’. They are my favorites because I really love the aesthetics of this director and the characters are really special and particular on their own way.

Another movie that I love is ‘’Leon: The professional’’. The story of this movie always gets my heart melted.

And talking about series, I have to say that my taste is variated. A series that I will forever and always love is ‘’31 minutos’’ because it transports me to my childhood and I know all the lyrics by heart. I love it because is a perfect reflection of the Chilean TV, but also a good way to learn about our environment and our natural resources, endemic fauna, etc. It was such a perfect show for kids!

I also like other series like ‘’Breaking Bad’’. This one is my favorite. The characters are well developed, the history is concise but also makes you think ‘’Am I on the side of the villain?’’ and I think that this is one of the strongest parts of the production.

And other series that make me happy are, for example: Diego & Glot, The Sinner, Adventure time, Orange is the New Black, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, and others (because I could make huge list about this).

I can’t finish this without sharing my favorite Web Serie: The Most Popular Girls. It’s a show made only with Barbies and it makes me laugh really loud every time I see it.

English Language Challenges

My experience learning English in this university has been good. I can’t say a lot about it because I only took two courses, but I can definitely say that it helped me to improve my pronunciation and to learn idioms that can help in any situation, for example, when you have to write blogs and make an idea. About blogs, I have to say that they are a good tool to practice writing, because it is an important part when we have to apply for some job or interview. We have to know how to write properly in English and we should be capable of writing about any theme, that’s why blogs are important; they are not boring essays and we can write in the way we like to express ourselves. English class is important for me because I can keep practicing the language. I know that it’s very common to forget how to pronounce or write or use some words when you don’t speak English frequently, so this class for me is a good way to practice (because it’s different from singing in English or watching series...

Photography

I have to say I don’t know a lot about photography. I like to take pictures of things that call my attention, for example, the sunset or the sunrise between the buildings, or the colors of the city. I think I like these kinds of pictures because of the ‘’color palette’’, it makes me calm. Another thing I enjoy taking pictures is street art. I luckily study near many neighborhoods that are full of paintings and different kinds of street art, so it’s really cool for me to go for a walk in these places and take pictures of what I see. I also enjoy taking pictures of animals, more specifically dogs, and even more specifically street dogs. I think that sometimes pictures can reflect what they want to tell us with their sight. It can be love, or hunger, or many other things, but I think that the way dogs look at us is something really nice to capture with a camera. It also happens with cats, but they are mainly posing for the camera, they know that they are some kind of models....

my future job

As an architecture student, I think that my future job is going to relate with architecture. I’d love to have projects for my own but I admit that I also like to work on groups, I think that is a good way to learn more and make an amazing project. I really like the artsy part of architecture; it fills my heart, so I’d love to work on something very related to it. Maybe an art museum, or designing galleries, or even be part of an urban art project, because I really love urban art. I like graffiti, murals, and public spaces destined to people’s enjoyment. I would love to see the concrete jungle full of colors. I’d really like to work on something like this, on something that returns the public space to people that uses it every day. For me, our city has to be more colorful and I want to be part of that change. I don’t expect earning a lot of money or to become rich with this job but I think it is more important for me to be happy with what I do than making myself rich, because, in ...
